My Ballerina Girl...

I took these on Sunday, when Bella decided to be "a ballerina princess" as she likes to call herself and she brings me this lovely little Christmas Tree Shop ballerina dress ($3.99) and transforms into "Ballerina Princess Bella LuLu"

Sir Macky Toledo - Elton let him borrow a pair of sweet shades (really they are just Bella's cherry sunglasses but I guess Macky was down with those, they weren't too girly for him, maybe cause they were fruit and he like fruit, usually he is so against anything girly or that belongs to Bella, just today he noticed Bella had on a Dora tattoo and he said "do you have any spiderman ones, i hate dora" and i was more upset about him using the word hate.....i say "we don't use that word in this house babyboy, we gut to let love rule" (cause i sang that....no i really didn't)but i did give him the "we don't say the word hate, it's too harsh and it is not good to have or say hate"
anyway, Max likes to rock these sunglasses in the tubby and i love it and i love him!

Summer Camp for Max!

Macky started his summer camp today! He rocked! He did so good, I was so proud of him! We walked him in, the whole family and made sure he was settled, backpack in his cubby and then it was outdoor play in the cool backyard/play yard (it is a really beautiful school, Jordan went there for preschool, so we love...)
Leaving him was a little tough, he got a little quiet like he sensed we were all leaving and he was going to stay. He held onto Jordan and said "i want Jordan to stay here with me" but then I explained to him that Jordan was too big for this cool summer camp and Bella was too little and he was just right for this cool camp! He then was like "ok, see ya" and went off with Miss Theresa and played some basketball.

The Law of the Garbage Truck

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly.

So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital.' This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Do not take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.'

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so.....

'Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't.
Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!

Today was all about:

apple martini's & strawberry daiquari's, jelly belly style!

big daddy ~king of the grill~ grilling up some good bar-b-q

kids laughing, splashing and sliding down the banzai pool

more screaming when Bella decided to become an exhibitionist in the backyard,
and the kids found that quite hysterical,

max had a meltdown over sharing some cars but eventually snapped out of it (so overtired, these late summer nights and early rising catches up with a 4 year old wild child!)

and more good food,
auntie erica brought old school delicious ice cream cupcakes, i ate 2! (just couldn't stop at 1 had to go for #2!)

some sweet old music (engel bert humpernick, cause that is how it is spelled) for the senior loves in our lives, P & C (aka Papa & Chickie)
and then when they went home, we pumped back up some hip hop and ya don't stop!

So all n all, it was a beautiful 4th of July spent with the most beautiful firecrackers in my life!
Sometimes you don't need a lot of peeps to make it a good time, you just need ur good peeps by your side having a good time with you!
