Another Crack-a-lackin Interview!

1. My uncle: Bob passed away in the end of April, cancer, he was in his 80's but it still was very sad, now little Auntie Molly is all alone in their home (they had no kids of their own, she couldn't have kids), I remember the old days when i was little girl, going swimming in the summertime in their pool and how Auntie Molly would always bring out lorna doones cookies for me & my brother to eat. I miss Uncle Bob, I miss him more for Auntie Molly...

2. There’s this person I know who: has heartburn alot, bites her nails, eats too many cookies and would someday like to get a boob lift,...it's me.

3. Once, at a bar: I did kareoke to Madonna's "Dress You Up" song and when I finished, drunk as can be, I remember hearing some guy in the audience say "you can dance but you sure as hell can't sing"....oooo that was so ni...(not nice, but ni)

4. By noon, I’m usually: dressed, the kids are dressed, Bella's big hair is tamed and we go to let Sammi (our Senior Sammi, black lab, 15 years old, who can't do the stairs anymore alone)out at my Mom's house.

5. Last night: I saw Gavin DeGraw in concert at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston and was honored to meet & take picture with his Mom & Dad.

6. What I like best about the eighties is: so many memories, flurescent colors, jelly shoes, the jordache look jeans, ET phone home, Madonna was young, we were younger, life was safer then, miss it sometimes...

7. If I were a character in Shakespeare, I’d be: asleep and confused or really confused and then i'd just wanna fall asleep.

8. By this time next year: I hope Obama is rockin the country in the best most positive helpful way!

9. I have a hard time understanding: why george & dick didn't get impeached

10. One thing I'm thankful for is: my rachelsbest herbal therapy heating pack that i use on my sore back, that's www.rachelsbest.com if you have sore muscles, very ni....

11. If I ever won an award, the first person I’d thank would be: my children

12. Take my advice. Never: take my advice...jk..just kidding,...i'd have to say, never humiliate your child, it stays with them for along time

13. My ideal breakfast is: cinnamon rolls and a cup of tea, 1 splenda, no milk.

14. A song I love is: What About Now ~ Daughtry

15. If you visit my hometown, I suggest: you kick it to the beach and get some kelly's, then throw ya leftover fries to the seagulls

16. Why won’t people: judge less, love more....i love...

17. The world could do without: wife beaters

18. I’d rather lick the belly of a cockroach than: have to eat it

19. My favorite blonde is: Beau, even though you'd never know she is really natural blonde

20. I can't count the number of times: i hear my kids call out for me, "mama" throughout my days and deep down inside i love it!

Sometimes ya meet Gavin and sometimes you meet the folks

Yep,
Tonight was Gavin DeGraw's concert.
Jenny so kindly came with me, thanks again and again, Beau!
I also have to give Jenny a big shout out "i love" and a big "thanks" because if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't of been honored to meet Gavin's Mom and Dad.
They sat so close to us and I recogonized them right away because I have seen their pictures on Gavin & his brother Joey's myspace so many times.
Jenny got his Mom's attention and she came over and was so pleasant and nice. I told her how we were watching her look around and she must be so proud of her son and she said "she is proud of all her children" and i said "i have seen him 2 times before and he is amazing" then Jenny asked if I could take a picture with her and for some reason I was so afraid she would say no but she said "yes", her exact words were "of course, anything you want" and she called her husband over and he too was glad to take a picture. One with me, one with Jenny.
I gave her a big hug and said "thank you , that was so kind of you".
I am so glad Jenny encouraged me and her to go over to them. I was being shy and afraid of rejection and afraid what other's would think, but sometimes you don't know unless you give it a try and as Jenny said "f --- everyone, they don't pay our bills"...yep, from now on, only if you pay my bills will i care what you really think!
i love...
Gavin sang it up beautifully and I am very grateful I got to see him perform again.

Sassy stayed the night...

And it wasn't pretty.
What were we thinking? Just as humans sometimes get homesick, Sassy did too.
She is 4 years old and basically an in house dog. She lives in Boston, pee pees on newspaper in an apartment with Nana Zon (Zonia) that is Donald (aka, big Daddy's mama) and though Sassy is very playful in her house, she lost that playfulness when she got to 46 Howard. Maybe it was Jordan putting the Superman cape on her, maybe that wasn't her stee-lo or maybe it was when big Daddy went to Target and came home with a grooming dog kit to cut her hair. We did spend over an hour in the garage (big night out!) grooming Sassy. Nana Zon had asked us if we could get her groomed but sure enough no pet places had an openings. So 46 Howard became the grooming salon. I was all into it. But Sassy wasn't feeling it. I think that sent her over the edge. And let's just say, the only ones who slept well Saturday night were my kids.
Donald was up cause Sassy pooped and pee pee on the rug (not the newspaper that Nana Zon said she'd do her thang on) and then she kept doing circles in my bedroom and had really bad insomnia. I felt bad, so I couldn't sleep either.
We made it through the night. But on Sunday morning I tried to let little Sas out in our fenced in yard and she just sat by the door and wanted to come back in. She sure is an in house dog! Not many 4 year old dogs go outside and immediately sit next to the door to come right back in.
Then she scratched Isa's back and chased her a little too much and it really scared Isa, my poor little Bella had some serious pink scratches on her back. That was it. It was time to take Sassy back to the hood!
We still love ya, Sassy and we know you didn't mean to scratch Bella, you just had had it too and you wanted to go home to your Mama Zon.
So Sassy, as Jack Black says it "we'll see you on the flip flop, later"! Now this picture just looks good because if you notice in the background, there is a cutes taking a snooze. This ones for you, beau!

"Mama, thank you for your kisses"

I just have to post the sweet little words that came out of my Max's mouth tonight as I tucked him into bed.
I tried to give him a kiss through the bars at the end of his bed but we couldn't reach eachother (because I'm short and he was way up high on the top bunk), so I came around the side and climbed it up, so I could reach him and we gave noseys and kisses and he giggled and then he put his head down on his pillow and as I went to dim his light, I told him "i love you and mama will be right out here in the kitchen" and he said "Mama, thank you for the kisses".
Those 6 little words will stay with me forever. He touched my heart when he said those words to me. Just the fact that he was thanking me for kisses, what a little angel he can be when he wants to be. To think I was so angry with this same little boy yesterday in Stop & Shop when he had a big crazy outburst of a tantrum and we had to leave (me, him and Bella),yep, i left the lettuce in the carriage and out we went. Oh, what a fun scene that was! And now a new day and my sweet little Max is back and thanking me for my kisses. That's love. That's Motherhood. And to hear him say those sweet words to me, almost makes dealing with the tantrums worth it. Almost.
I love you Max! Max - kind-da the look he had going on in Stop & Shop
Max - kind-da how he looked tonight when he said so sweetly with that husky little voice of his "Mama, thank you for your kisses" ~ Only a face a Mama could love ~

Jordan is officially a 3rd Grader!

Gigi takes Jordan to school, how blessed am I about that! She is kindergarten teacher at Jordan's school, so they go in together, he loves it! Here they are on their very first day!
~ Always a very serious boy on the first day back ~
Today kicked off the first day of school for Mr. Jordan Toledo. He was actually quite excited, he got up at 6 o'clock and didn't have to leave the house until 7:25. It is a brand new year in the third grade for Jordan. He will have the first year of expanded learning which means he will go to school from 7:55 until 3:55, I know it sounds like a work day. He will have gym everyday for 30 minutes and a special elective (computers, library, spanish) daily and 30 minutes lunches as opposed to last years 20 minutes. He isn't too thrilled about the longer day, I have to honestly say I kind of am after this long summer full of sibling fights and whining and yelling (not that the whole summer was like that but most of it was). I think the day sounds longer then it really will seem. They will have more fun activities and there is no homework policy which is cool. Once they leave school, they leave it all at school!
He also will have 2 teachers, instead of just 1, because both teachers just had babies and decided to try job sharing. So he will have Mrs. Knox, Monday-Tuesday and half of Wednesday and Mrs. Knickerson the remaining part of the week. Aren't you glad you know that information, now?
I'm wishing Mr. Jordan an awesome, fun and adventurous new school year in third grade.
I can't believe my first born baby boy is now a third grader! It is alot to take in. When I look at him at night while he sleeps, and I give him a kiss on his forehead as he is peacefully dreaming, I think back to this little baby almost 9 years ago. I miss this little baby so much
but I know I can't live in the past and must embrace the kind, at time stubborn, caring, very bright intelligent, well-mannered little guy he has become.

Love You Beautiful Boy
(these last 2 pictures were taken professionally by Mr. Maxwell David Toledo, 4 years old, what a profesh he already is with the camera! He took these yesterday as Jordan read a Spiderman chapter book to us.)
