Santa's Little Helpers

Max being 5 and Bella being 3, they could get anyone in the Christmas spirit. Everything is so new through their eyes. Each ornament was more amazing then the next to them and they sure did create a messy but oh so beauty decorated Christmas tree.
Jordan being 9, wasn't as into it this year, come on he's 9 !( so old, right? been there done that) That made me a little bit sad cause it is just another sign of my first born growing up, he even questioned Santa and said he is pretty sure Santa doesn't exist, well my face just dropped and I said "you must never say that!" (man do I sound like an old lady) and then when I told him "Santa will always be real if you just believe" he then said "i know he's real, but the tooth fairy isn't, that's really you"...Oh how I keep holding on to him and maybe sometimes he is still holding on to me.
But then he did finally change into his candy cane name xmas pj's ( which Gigi bought so kindly for all 3 of her grandbabies, thank you Gigi!) and he put a few ornaments on the tree & took an awesome xmas picture for our soon to mail out xmas cards!
Oh and when I told my Mom about how beauty the front of our lower part of the tree looked, from the creative little Santa's helpers, she said "oh aren't ya gona fix it?" and I said "nope, it's so them, i love it" and i know oneday i will so miss the messy creative tree ornament decorater's, so i love our tree just the way it is.
And I will cherish their creations always.

"Oh what an Amazing Star Wars ornament!"
Macky is so proud of his creative decorating abilities.
And for the final touch to a "magic" tree....

gum drops
and
lollipops,
sugar cookies
and
candy canes,
gingerbread houses
and
gingerbread trains,
love, peace & extra laughter & joy
that is what i wish for all of you this holiday season.
Feliz Navidad!

We didn't have mice but we had lots of corn and Bella chowed down on the corn & lots of grapes, so we know what that means! LOL!
It was a lovely cozy day at Gigi's house surrounded by great food & Papa & Chick came from upstairs to eat with us. Papa can't hear anymore but God love him, he is always a sweetie. He wears amplifier's in his ears, so it looks like he is rockin out to an ipod as he chowed down. So friggin cute. Then one popped out and Chick was screaming to him as usual "do ya want stuffin" and he couldn't hear, so I gently put the little amplifier ( aka ipod ) back in his ear and then he was good to go!
God love them. I really am thankful that they are here sharing with us yet another Thanksgiving day. I remember last year, Pop's even carved the turkey ( after enduring 2 broken hips in 1 year ) but this year he passed the job down to my father aka "cutes" as you will see, in the slideshow, my "cutes" father in the background shot carving it up in the kitchen as I pose it with the bubbling apple cider bottle!
Always a laugh cause that is how I roll. I had to get the party started with some bubbling non-alcoholic apple cider and then it was all about the desert! Pumpkin coffe cake with walnuts and my Aunt Mary's famous cookies, what a day!
So Stuffed.
So Grateful.

Happy Thanks & Happy Giving To You All!

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.

"Sweet Darling"

Max & Bella didn't think the sunshine was warming Sweet Darling Senior Sam up enough, so they decided to cover her in toasty warm crunchy November leaves.
I love my Sweet Darling, 16 year old baby girl! Though her body has turned frail and even the side of her head has a big dent in it ( not sure what that is all about?) and she can barely walk and doesn't hear too much these days.
2 things still going strong for Sweet Darling: She still loves Gigi's pizelli cookies and anything else we will feed to her and she still has those copper brown eyes that shine.
" wooooo oooooo oooooo Sweet Darling, you got the best of my love " holla if you know that song, that's an oldy but goody, just like Senior Sam!

Look at those sparkling copper brown eyes shine, she's still a model!

Cousin Shayla Sleep's Over

A leave fight on a cold autumn friday night!

And then on Saturday cousin Shayla came to spend the night.
We picked her up in the Mission ( aka Misson Hill, watch out!)
and we came back to the burbs and took Jordan, Max & Shayla to the movies.
Jordan and Shayla wanted to see HSM3, so I took them to see that. And big daddy and Max so Bolt in 3D. I havent' even seen high musical 1 & 2. It was actually cute. Very corny. Like a 2008 Brady Bunch. Too perfect. Come on, Troy is how old and he brings Gabriella a picnic basket of chocolate covered strawberries and a pizza to her bedroom. Yep, he hops the very convient safe tree and jumps in her balcony to share some cheese pizza and chocolate covered strawberries with her on her bedroom floor and then he leaves... Yep cause that is how it goes down for 17 year olds.
Come on!
But cute songs and dancing.
Then to Papa Gino's with a very cranky tired Maxwell. Not very fun. But the pizza was delicious as always.
Big Daddy cooked up some breakfast on Sunday morning and they played Star Wars monopoly. I drew Shayla a Hello Kitty picture to take home with her and back to the hills she just went.
We love you, Shayla. We hope you had fun hangin with us!

Happy 5th Birthday, Maxwell!

I
Love
You,
Max!
Your laugh,
Your husky deep voice,
Your big warm hugs,
Your kisses goodnight,
Your enthusiasm for life,
Your creativity & imagination,
the way your hair smells when I kiss your head,
how you snuggle up for bedtime stories & the way you laugh at me when I sing beauty songs to you & your brother at bedtime
and even when you have those vicious tantrum-breakdown-meltdown-fits,
I still absolutely love you.
You will always be my lovebug, forever.
Love,
Mommy

Happy Birthday, Dennis!

November 14th, is not only Bella's birthday but it is Dennis Rich's, also. (Katie's brother, love ya Katie!)
Dennis,
You are truly missed and will never ever be forgotten.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Bella Lu!

This little mamalove is now grown up to be this big 3 year old mamalove! Happy Birthday, my baby girl! More curls & more bossiness is what it's all about! No doubt!
Uncle Eric gave Bella this beauty of a pink phone this morning, it was all wrapped up in hello kitty wrapping paper with a beautiful hello kitty card. She is the only one of my 3 kids who gets just as excited over the card as she does the present ( it's a girl thang! ) and she wasted no time calling up her special peeps and having some great conversations. Soon to post a video of Bella Lu talkin, what she is talkin about on that phone, only she knows and that is all that matters.
Happy Birthday Sweet Darling!

Always an adventure at Nana ZZZZZonia's House!

We headed into the city today (after the football game was over, of course) to visit Nana Zonia, that's Sonia but with a strong powerful Z at the beginning!
Like this: "Nana Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzonia"
She had some birthday presents to give the kids and they had so much fun playin with Nana Zon's dog, Sassy. Of course, my poor lovebug Max had an allergic reaction to Sassy and we forgot the claritin grape tablets, so big daddy took Max to the corner drugstore in the hood and got him some. He was instantly better. Thank God!
Then Auntie Gracie and cousin Shayla came over. Shayla is 11 years old but from the pictures she could pass for like 14, 15. She is taller then me! Not that that is hard to do but she is only 11. She is a sweetie and the kids hadn't seen her in years. They had a blast playing and she may come and spend the day with us one of these upcoming weekends.
Thank you, sweet Nana Zon for the cool presents!
We love.
She got Bella these awesome little "flower shower baby barbie mermaids", so cool. They spray it up in the tub and spin it around.
I think I had more fun with them then Bella did but she loves them too.
How cute are they?

And
the
cousins.

Better Days lyrics ~ by Goo Goo Dolls

And you ask me what I want this year
And I try to make this kind and clear
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days
Cause I don't need boxes wrapped in strings
And designer love and empty things
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days

So take these words
And sing out loud
Cause everyone is forgiven now
Cause tonight's the night the world begins again

I need someplace simple where we could live
And something only you can give
And thats faith and trust and peace while we're alive
And the one poor child who saved this world
And there's 10 million more who probably could
If we all just stopped and said a prayer for them

So take these words
And sing out loud
Cause everyone is forgiven now
Cause tonight's the night the world begins again

I wish everyone was loved tonight
And somehow stop this endless fight
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days

So take these words
And sing out loud
Cause everyone is forgiven now
Cause tonight's the night the world begins again
Cause tonight's the night the world begins again

GOT HOPE?

It's Election Eve ( another Eve ) the last night I blogged was Halloween Eve with my 3 witches/wizards making a chicken soup potion (which by the way came out so delicious!) ~ Thank you my little goblins for all your help & patience taking turns at the pot.~
Now, tonight is the night before we all find out who the next President of the United States will be.
I have been so so busy bakin, like a true mama does, for the Election bakesale at Jordan & Max's school. Max & Bella helped be apart of this great bakin bonanza event at 46 Howard. Here they are mixin it up, preparing for some OBAMA cupcakes!!!

WOW, they have the same lil lips, right?

I told them that we have baked these cupcakes for Barack Obama ( I swear Bella says his name and knows who he is, totally loves him, 2 years old!) because tomorrow is a very important day for him and when all his friends go to vote for him, they can have a yummy cupcake too. I also baked up a yummy sour cream coffe cake & 7UP cake ( first time on that one and it is the bomb!!), the reason I know these 2 cakes are so good is because yep, I taste tested them.
I will bag each slice and put a little bow on it in the morning & off the baked goods will go to school.
So for tomorrow,
things to do:
HOPE,
VOTE,
SMILE
&
Buy a cupcake at the bake sale for 25 cents.
Thank you.
And have a blessed day.
1 love.

Here are few more shots of my OBAMA CUPCAKES & DESIGNS:

i hope the people enjoy them & will know that their those 25 cents will add up and benefit the school & future events for the children, every little bit helps, holla if ya hear me!!!
