Christmas Love

Gone but never forgotten...Ever!

 Saturday, December 15th, 2012, I got the call from my brother, that my dear Godmother our Auntie Barb, who has been with me my whole life, had left us to go to heaven.  And though, she faught the toughest,most painful fight ( pancreatic cancer) for 9 months, and though she suffered and was in alot of discomfort and pain, especially this past couple months, you never want to say goodbye to someone you love so much.
Yes, we wanted to take away her pain and yes we prayed for her to be in peace but  we much rather her to be in peace here on earth with us. It's so hard to let someone you love go. Even though you know they are going to pure peace, love and joy in heaven with Jesus, it still makes us all left behind on earth feel so sad and empty and full of grief and loss.
Every Christmas Eve,  my Godmother and my cousins  would come for dinner and laughs and my brother dresses up as Santa and brings the children presents and my cousin Matthews's birthday is on December 24h, so Auntie Barb would always buy her son a birthday cake and we'd sing and laugh and take pictures and be together.
We are really going to feel her loss in 4 days on Christmas Eve.
And my heart aches for all the babies taken in the school shooting, for all the daughters, who tried with all they could to protect those precious children from the shooter.  The all stay in my heart and I cry for all of them, gone too soon and so tragically.
Christmas is not the same this year.
I often play the song "Where are you Christmas" from my girl, Faith Hill... Because it really fits this years Christmas season.
I find peace in music and I find peace in prayer.
I cherish the memories with my dear Godmother, I try to let the angry feelings wash away with all the tears I cry...the anger for cancer and the anger for precious lives taken so tragically.
I try to embrace
the LOVE beacause God is Love
and
LOVE is GOD
and
we can only go forward if we realize LOVE.
7 Christmases ago, Auntie Barb was  blessed with her first granddaughter, Samantha.
And here is a picture I cherish so much, of me holding my Bella and
Auntie Barb holding her Samantha, on their first Christmas.

Oh how I wish she could still be here to see how amazing Samantha is in first grade with her cousin Bella.
She misses her Grandma so much and isn't ready to talk about her just yet.
I pray in time she will, so we can share all the wonderful memories and pictures of her Grandma with her.

I'll be your soldier....

My cousin's mom....aka my Godmother is dying...she is very sick with pancreatic cancer and doesn't have much time left here with us.
It is the most heartbreaking experience to watch someone you love, someone who has been so much apart of your life, just wither away in front of your eyes...it's unfair, it's unexplainablely sad and I just want my cousin Melissa to know that I am here for her, I am by her side, I am never leaving her side and I will forever be her soldier...strong and brave and always with open arms to hold her  especially on these most tough heartbreaking days....xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Our Halloween Disney Adventures!!!

It was a quite a vacation but not a relaxing, kick it back and relax kind of vacation. Not with a very excited husband who has never been to Disney and 3 super excited children who have never been to Disney.

Add in a mama (that would be me) who hasn't flown in 18 years and was completely freaking out about flying and you have a very exhausting, at times stressful, memorable, amazing family vacation!!

The slideshow captures it all, except my melt down on our third night in, where I literally locked myself in our hotel bathroom and cried my eyes out on the cold bathroom floor, it was an overwhelming feeling of heat exhaustion, feet exhaustion and dealing with my 13 year old son and impulsive husband. Just keeping it real, "it's not always rainbows and butterflies." ( Adam Levine )

But my sweet baby girl and her daddy went to the gift shop and picked out the sweetest Minnie Mouse mug for me that says "Mornings Are  Not Pretty" cause I am so not a morning mama!! And a very sweet Minnie Mouse keychain! The ladies in the gift shop gave Bella lots of stickers to help her decorate the gift box and when Bella came back to the hotel room with that sweet mug in the box, that made me smile and dried the tears and after a refreshing shower and a good nights sleep our next 3 days were our best 3 days at Disney. With our favorite parks being the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom!! And though there is so much more to see, we hope to one day go back soon, this time in an RV! 

Though I am so proud of myself for finally conquering my flying fear, I prefer to stay grounded on our next trip to Disney(:

Thank you God for blessing us with a trip filled with awesome memories and a safe landing back to Boston....Home Sweet Home!

HOW? WHY? WTF???

NO matter our political views, we should always love oneanother.  If you love God and truly know God is LOVE, then you LOVE as God Love's...ALL.
How can One say they Love God and then be against someone cause they are poor, or gay, or different from them in skin, choices, economic status, HOW??????

And my precious babygirl will be turning 7 very soon!! Clothes, I'm gonna miss you.....

So it's summertime
and I'm feeling so happy and excited!!!
Happy to be able to sleep in with my buttercups and sweet Mya ( aka our precious dog)

not rush around

not  fret over getting school clothes out the night before..
although (Sadly, to me) this year my babies will be rocking' school uniforms...yes..
navy/white polo's and navy/khaki pants../ skorts/ shorts...blah blah blaaaaahhhhhhhh
bajjjjjjaaaaaaa!!!!!!
I mean, yes everyone will look proper and cute
but Gosh how my Bella girl and I will miss dressing her to the 9's and with some sort of  pink and bling and fun and grooviness to her attire, some individuality, some expression.

now that is all over because the school committee voted in school uniforms...but yet my oldest son who is in middle school does not have to wear "uniforms"...
now in my own opinion I think his age is the age that would benefit from school uniforms due to the sexy styles young chicas be wearing' to school ( i know, I once was one of them, looking' hot and not even knowing it, if only I could have my body back from when I was 15!!)
Anyways,
 they are the kids who deal with the bullying hard core, over who is wearing what, who can afford UGGZZZ, who is looking hoochie mama, who is rocking' expensive  sneakers,
I mean really...but nooooo
they are the ones who can wear whatever they like.
And the little peeps.

my babies...all of 6 and 8 have to rock the uniforms.
Ok. maybe it will be easier.
Maybe it will work better for this very UNORGANIZED, CHAOTIC, ADHD BRAINED MAMA...
but I will still be missing

Ok, so no rollerskating pics coming soon, because as I drove to Rollerworld, I realized I brought MaKenna's bday gift (which I almost forgot)but  I definitely forgot the camera):
So no pics,
but we did have fun rollin' out to the jams (loved hearing "Cause I aint' no hollaback girl!!!"), it reminded me of the sunday afternoons that I would go, every weekend, when my oldest son was just a little guy.  He'd be home with Big Daddy and I'd go work it out on the rink, every Sunday,  I was so fit back then with just 1 child ):, a lot younger too. But it was nice to be back on the rink this time with my baby girl. She was rockin' her hot pink barbie knee pads and elbow pads and funky fluorescent outfit from "justice"  then she won a lovely engagement ring (aka turns green within seconds on the skin, lol) in the "bling bling claw" game, scooped it up all by herself, we were so proud!! It's the little things(:
Had some greasy pizza and yummy fluffy cake and.....
 Then home to a little bar-b-q across the street at our neighbors house and the kids all splashed around in their pool. That's when I remembered the camera....

Goodbye Second Grade....Thank you, Ms. Petrone(:

Maxwell is graduating second grade next week.  And we love his teacher, Ms. Petrone and she has really helped and guided Maxwell, this year, my sweet Max was diagnosed with ADHD the end of last school year and it was a tough decision to make to have him try medication to help him focus and relax in school.  There was a lot of trial and error but finally with patience and prayer, we have found the right match for Mr. Maxwell, aka my love bug.
 I thank Ms. Petrone so much for her love, understanding and patience with Maxwell and to say thank you I put together a little special card just for her.

Thank you to my girl, Krista Smith aka Saturated Canary~ for drawing such a gorgeous little school fairy, she fits perfectly on this card!!

And on the inside, a little baby Maxwell giggling in his carseat, Bella thought the cowboy hat was a must on his sweet head! Maxwell wrote some very sweet words to Ms. Petrone.

And on the back...this is so Max, full of love and sometimes chaos but always keeping the faith and sorry for his sins(:

We will also get her a cool gift card for her to enjoy on summer vacation. Maybe TjMaxx cause she loves to shop there(:
And I love to find any reason to go there and browse around myself. Hmmmm I think I will shoot there right now before Max's concert, he comes on the stage at 1:40. It's noon, so I should have enough time for a quick shop, pick up the gift card and be there on time!!!

Tomorrow is Bella's end of the year concert, she will wear her fancy dress and wedged sandals and next week she will finish Kindergarten.  Watching her grow before my eyes is so bittersweet, I am so blessed that she is my baby girl, my one and only daughter, but somedays I just want to hold her tight and never let her go out into this big scary world.  I don't want her to rush to grow up. I want her to enjoy every moment of everyday.  She loves Taylor Swift and rocks out to all her songs on my iPod. Her favorite songs from Taylor are: Mean, You Belong With Me and Eyes Wide Open.  And when I was making Bella a playlist of all Taylor songs, I found this one and it's so beautiful and I dedicate it to my baby girl.

My baby girl, is so grown up at 6 years old.

 She is so inquisitive and bright and full of wonder and delight. 

She is always ready to help her big brothers

 and she loves our dog Mya too pieces, always thrilling her when she decides to dress her up in her love. Look how excited Mya looks about the sun hat and dollar tree store glasses(:

 She has a crush on the sweetest boy in her class, named Logan and she is a great little drawer.

 She is digging' Justin Bieber these days and her favorite star is Taylor Swift, we hope to see her in concert one day!

She rolls out on 2 wheels these days, up and down our hill of a street with her funky pink helmet on, she's a safety girl!! But she likes the speed and that worries me a little bit.  Her favorite tv shows these days are Adventure Time ( the big bro's got her into that one) and Icarly but I still catch her watching Fresh Beat Band and Yo Gabba Gabba and Olivia and I like that. We once met Dj Lance Rock in Boston, back when he was just getting' started with Yo Gabba Gabba, I remember Bella sitting on my lap and he was signing an autograph for her and she looked right at him and said "I love you." Yes, Dj Lance "Break it Dowwwwwn" Rock!!! We're cool. We met him...lol!

Rockin' it out in 08' at a Yo Gabba Gabba/Target Book Club in the Boston Commons, such an awesome day!!!

And now my Bella is ready to sing tomorrow on stage and just about ready to graduate Kindergarten, onto first grade, how does this all happen so darn fast!

How blessed I am to have my awesome family and friends by my side to celebrate my big day.

My bff, Erica and I went out to yummy Pizzeria Regina's on Wednesday night for a pre bday celebration, it's our tradition, we always treat each other to a bday dinner. I don't have any sisters, so I consider her my sister, I am truly blessed. So at Pizzeria Regina's we had amazing pizza, caesar salad and delicious frozen strawberry daiquiris...we had some serious laughs and she gave me way too many precious bday treats. One being this pretty hot guy on this bday card.

And now today on my 36th, June 1st, 2012 official birthday, I am super excited to be going on my baby girls field trip to a really cool park in East Boston.

I awoke to birthday hugs and kisses from my babies and that includes Mya ( our 4 legged boxer baby) and they really are the best gifts ever to me for life, forever!!!
Oh and a carvel ice cream always rocks, that is coming this weekend(:

Bella's bff goes to a different school, so they don't see each other as much as they'd like to, so Bella was super excited when she found out Gianna would be coming to see her dance recital and then out to Fuddruckers for dinner and Friendly's for ice creams ~ vanilla with rainbow sprinkles, of course.

And we can't forget that Big Daddy performed in the recital too! yes, he did, him and 6 other brave dads got on that stage and shook it down to "Im Sexy and I Know It!"   LMFAO style!!! and then they each danced with their baby girls to "Daddy's Little Girl"...so cute, so funny!!!
